About the Prince George Rod & Gun Club

The Prince George Rod & Gun Club was incorporated on the 25th day of June 1946. The offerings that the PGRGC makes available to its members are a rare sight in a community the size of Prince George,  We currently offer two large facilities close to Prince George, one hosting one of the longest shooting ranges in BC and Western Canada.

The Hartman Road Range is located approximately 10 minutes out of town, off highway 16 west in the Beaverly area. The recently opened Blackwater Range is located Approximately 25 minutes down Blackwater Road heading South.

Hartman Rd Range

The Hartman Range has 100 and 200 yard Centrefire Rifle range,  50 yard general handgun range, a small-bore silhouette range, Shotgun range for Trap and Sporting Clays, -and Black Powder ranges and an Indoor air rifle range inside the clubhouse. There are also two action bays used by IPSC, IDPA and Cowboy Action.

Blackwater Range

The Blackwater range offers rifle shooting out to 1000+ meters. A new covered shelter protects 20+ users from the sun. Berms and steel targets are available for member to shoot at at varying distances. The Blackwater range is also host to 8 Action Bays used by IPSC handgun and soon, 3 Gun competitions, capable of holding events of 200 shooters or more.
